A mild but cloudy day at Dragons Green, which was the venue for this top versus (almost) bottom clash. The home team were unbeaten with a 100% record coming into this match, whereas the away team had only one win in seven Southern Combination Division Two matches.
The game kicked off at a fast, frantic pace, it was like a dragster against a soapbox car. The Dragons took the lead after 19 minutes. An out swinging corner was met by the goal machine Adam Campbell-Stone on the half volley and he scored his second on the 38th minute from a header.
In between those goals energetic left winger, Max Furber bound forward on 29 minutes. He received a through ball and slid it past the unprotected goalkeeper to make it 2-0 followed by that second Campbell-Stone goal.
The second half saw complete dominance from the home team, the brilliant Kyle Johnson scored two great goals. Not to be outdone, skilful attacking midfielder, Ollie Broad grabbed a brace. The loudest cheer of the night came on the 82nd minute, when the left sided defender, Dan Millard finished off a fantastic team move and team performance to complete the scoring at 8-0.
Whilst the Electric were eating their chips on the pier, TD were the seagulls, sweeping down, attacking, until every morsel was eaten. It was a complete performance from the Dragons, they are comfortably the team to beat this season.
Next up for the Dragons is an away fixture at Storrington next Saturday, whereas Brighton Electricity face a battle at the bottom, away to Worthing Town.
