Arundel picked up another three points on Saturday afternoon with two first half goals accounting for Reigate Priory but the outcome could have been much different.
On a sticky pitch that cut up as the afternoon wore on, the Mullets kept up their ascent up the table. However, Priory’s early effort that hit the crossbar could have changed the course of the game had the ball hit the back of the net.
As it was Arundel took the lead on 13 minutes Daegan Walsh tapped in from a few yards, moments after Jordan Markey had pulled off a stunning save from a Harry Russell header.
Three minutes later the home side doubled their lead, a couple of deflected shots saw the ball land at the feet of Matt Storm who sidestepped his man and slotted the ball through Markey’s legs.
The keeper then pulled off another fantastic save from Harrison Mott who effort was heading for the bottom corner, Reigate still in the game at half time thanks to their shot stopper.
The second half was a more standard affair, the visitors though giving it a good go but unable to find a way past Maicek Kason as the Mullets grabbed another win to stay in contention at the top of the Southern Combination Division One.
