Roffey continued their fine form on Saturday afternoon as they condemned Haywards Heath Town to their third successive defeat.
The result lifts the Boars just three points behind Town ahead of Monday night’s home game with Crawley Down Gatwick whilst Kevin Green is still waiting for his first win in Heath colours.
Playing against a strong wind the visitors took the lead on 15 minutes with a fine finish from Josh Pearse.
Roffey doubled their lead on 26 mins, a clever through ball put Jordan Mase in the clear and his dinked finish over Mitch Bromage was as cool as you like.
Charlie Meehan, who was an outlet all afternoon, had a great opportunity to get Heath back into the game but after racing through Montgomery Watson-Price’s trailing leg diverted the ball past the post.
The home side spent a majority of the second 45 encamped in the visitors half and had some glorious chances but a combination of Watson-Price and some wayward finishing they could have taken something from the game.
At the other end the Boars had their own opportunities on the counter attack but Bromage came to the rescue more often than not, the visitors taking away a big three points and extending their unbeaten run to nine games.
Heath host league leaders Hassocks on Boxing Day (ko 11am) whilst Roffey as mentioned host Crawley Down Gatwick on Monday evening (ko 7.30pm) before heading to Hassocks on Saturday (ko 2pm).
