Whilst they still remain unbeaten in 10 matches Eastbourne Borough conceded their first goal in over 700 minutes at the weekend. Both themselves and Worthing remain in the title talk after 2-1 victories.
A 1st defeat in nine matches for Horsham allowed Chichester City to close the gap to six points in the Isthmian Premier Division. City’s unbeaten run stretches to eight matches, winning six in a row while conceding just six times.
Whitehawk have lost only once in their last eight matches moving six points clear of the drop zone, after picking up a maximum nine points in seven days. Bognor Regis lost for the 19th time in 27 matches and are now 12 pts from safety, a goal difference of minus 38 by far the worst in the division.
Three Bridges have five Isthmian South East Division wins in a row moving them 18 pts clear of the bottom four. East Grinstead’s second win in three games increased the gap between themselves and Littlehampton Town to 13 pts, the latter postponed on Saturday.
Broadbridge Heath are now six games without a win but edge Grinstead on goal difference in mid-table.
Roffey extended their Southern Combination Premier Division unbeaten away record to 12 matches, the Boars have yet to taste defeat on the road. That current away unbeaten run is only matched by Burgess Hill across Sussex.
The Boars also possess the longest current unbeaten run amongst our cubs of 14 matches, joint with Godalming Town from Division One.
League leaders Hassocks have now netted in 24 consecutive matches whilst another 8 clubs are into double figures for constant scoring.
Forest Row and Godalming Town hold their unbeaten home records with the former on a run of seven consecutive wins whilst Banstead Athletic are now seven games without a win.
Only Steyning Town are still to keep a clean sheet whilst four other clubs have a single blank 90 minutes.
Top scorer across our 56 clubs is still Ollie Rawlins of Dorking Wanderers B with 23 goals. Chichester City’s Jimmy Wild and Reece Hallard of Three Bridges are tied on 20, a hat-trick for the latter on Saturday afternoon, whilst one goal back on 19 are Zion McLeod of East Preston and Seaford Town’s Callum Connor.
Josh Irish of Wick comes in next with 16 goals and Bognor Regis Town’s Tommy-Lee Higgs is one shy on 15 having scored 5 in his last 4 matches, 4 players are sitting on 14 goals.
Not much change in attendance levels across the board, Eastbourne Utd’s 302 on Saturday afternoon registered in the top ten for Step 5 as did Bognor Regis Town’s 790 at Step 3.
